Oh, here we will be going over some important details about the CAT Exam 2025-26, like what the syllabus will be, fees, exam date, eligibility criteria, and when the result will come out. When’s the Big Day? CAT 2025 Important Dates!
If you’re planning on making an attempt to take the CAT 2025-26 exam, then, of course, there are some important dates that you should mark down right now. Here:
- CAT Notification Out: July 2025
- Registration Begins: August 2025
- Last Date to Apply: September 2025
- Admit Card Release: November 2025
- CAT Exam Date: Last Week of November 2025
- Result Announcement: End of December 2025

Who Can Apply? Here’s the CAT 2025 Eligibility
See, before you just go ahead and apply for the CAT Exam form, you should know a little bit about whether or not you’re actually eligible to even sit in the exam. So, here are the boxes you must tick:
- First of all, yes, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree
- And it is important that you got at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD)
- Final-year students? Yes, you can apply
- Have a CA/CS/ICWA degree? You’re good to go in that case, too!
- And one of the best things about this exam is that there is no age limit at all
CAT 2025 Application Fees
And sure, when you fill out the application form to sit in this exam, you’ll have to pay some application fees, and that is different for different candidates. How? Here:
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹2,500
- SC/ST/PwD: ₹1,250
That’s it. All payments are online, like, you can easily use your card, UPI, or net banking, and pay for the application fee. Plain and simple!
What’s the Syllabus For CAT Exam?
Well, if you have given an attempt to this exam already, you may know that this exam has 3 major sections, and each one of these sections is timed for about 40 minutes each. Then what is the total time for the exam? Oh, that would be 2 hours straight. Let’s now talk about these sections of the syllabus in detail, shall we?
1. Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC)
This first section is just to check how good you are at understanding the English language. Topics include:
- Reading long and short passages
- Jumbled sentences
- Paragraph summaries

- Vocabulary and grammar
2. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
This second section is a completely different one. How? Well, this one is mainly there to check your logic and analysis skills, like you’d have to answer questions and analyze data like charts, tables, graphs, etc.

- Blood relations, calendars, directions
- Data sufficiency
3. Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
What’s this one? Oh, it’s a little harder because this one is all about math. Topics include:
